About Me
Joseph Antonio is an actor, creative, and artist based in Chicago, IL. Previously, Joseph was an Emerging Professional Resident (EPR) at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. He is inspired by projects new works, and is eager to be a part of the next wave of artists, playwrights, and performers. Joseph wants to create weird, colorful, queer art and is hoping you do too!
A native of California’s Central Coast, Joseph Antonio discovered his passion for acting at a young age, playing his first role as Fritz in The Nutcracker. This experience sparked a lifelong love for the stage, which he nurtured through active involvement in local theater and dance, both during his formative years and throughout his college education.
During his two years of rigorous training at the Pacific Performing Arts Theatre (PCPA), Joseph immersed himself in a wide range of performance techniques, from classical acting to contemporary drama, all while deepening his understanding of movement and physical theater. He credits this period as a transformative time, where he not only honed his technical skills but also discovered the power of vulnerability and emotional truth in his performances.
